I Finally Bought a Boat Anchor

I have always wanted one and since we moved to Hawaii, I was always a little reluctant to get one since the shipping is so far. But, I finally found one that I thought was a great deal and worth the risk.

It came early this afternoon. It took most of the afternoon making room on my desk and moving all the wires around for my antennas. I was able to turn it on at about 5:30pm. A little early for shortwave but I was able to get some stations after getting used to the adjustments that have to be made on this radio. All in all, I’m really happy with it and glad I took the chance on it.

Here it is bringing in WBCQ on 9330 kHz, From Monticello Maine to Molokai Hawaii. Not bad for early evening. 🤙🏻

Awesome! IMO much more fun to use than the modern dsp/sdr radios... enjoy
