There are several iPhone / iPad apps for interfacing with vbulletin but they all require the server admin to install a plugin. Before I buy, does RR allow access to any of them?

Which is excellent by the way. Very nice to lounge around in the forums on my iPod Touch when I go into lazy mode :D (which tends to happen a lot )

How do I get the Tapatalk app installed? I have a new phone, and the question got bypassed while I was in a hurry, and the mobile web isn't working for me. (I start mobile, but when I tap on the forums link, I end up with the regular web page.)

How do you install it? You go to iTunes and then browse for tapatalk and hit the install button.

And your signature will confirm that you have successfully downloaded Tapatalk.

I guess I should have specified as to the link that RR uses, since it is a once-off question.

Also, I am looking for the Android version, as I don't use Apple products. (I know the OP was about iStuff, but figured it isn't a hijack, when it is still about Tapatalk.)

It's not a one off question. You open the app and search for radioreference and add it.

There's a version of Tapatalk for Android. Download it from the Android Market, now Google Play.

On Tapatalk's website, they say that the question is asked once, when the service has been added to a website. In some ways, I can appreciate that, as being asked to install something every time you access a site becomes tiresome.

Not quite sure where we're going here.
Are you saying that you cannot download Tapatalk?

No. I was wondering where the link would have taken me, since I didn't get the chance to follow it, and the sysyem will not ask again. (When I checked one website, it only had links for the web server, not the mobile client.)

You seem focused on following some link that will take you somewhere to do something. My suggestion is to stop using your phone's browser to get to the RR forum. Tapatalk does not use the mobile web version of the forum. Rather, it is an app that accesses the forum databases directly.

If you don't have Tapatalk installed on your phone, go to the Google Play Store, search for Tapatalk, download and install it.

If you have Tapatalk installed on your phone, launch the app. The main screen should have a menu item called "Search". Tap that. Search for "radioreference". The app will link up with the Tapatalk plug-in at forums.radioreference.com and display the the RR logo. Either click on that logo to go directly to the forums or save it as a favorite. You do all of this with the Tapatalk app, not your browser.

I know Tapatalk uses an API, instead of the web interface. I guess I confused people, by giving the background of why the app is now of interest.
