In the NY/NJ area, ICE uses the USMS P25 trunked system and their talkgroups are strapped ENC. HSI uses the NJICS P25 trunked system primary/USMS secondary, and again strapped ENC. HSI and ICE ERO have IOP talkgroups, FED IOP talkgroups and even LOCAL IOP talkgroups on the USMS for comms with other Agencies, and again ENC.

You may catch them on a 7TAC if they can't find a common channel with another Fed or local agency, but being the radios have about 128 zones in them of everything imaginable and all associated CKRs, good luck catching anything of substance.

They also use our Statewide trunked system with encryption most of the time. The ones on VHF are the groups from out of town CBP not ICE

I've been hearing some things on my scanner at home that I have left running and recording on various ice freqs. I've mostly heard rover and ispern mentioned

The rover frequency is the CBP O'Hare frequency, where Rovers "callsign of CBP officers" are called to various booths at the airport to do secondary screening or something
ISPERN traffic is the Sheriff patch to CG-COM, leftover from the DNC
