Are these confirmed accurate nationwide? Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) (United States) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

This video has good closeups of their radios and the antenna is definitely VHF.

Has anyone heard any activity on these channels?
Yes those are the Common Nationwide Allocations.

Yes activity has been heard on those, however you likely have more active LOCAL ICE channels, where are you located first ?
(update your profile)

Also no video was attached/linked

These do work great for Northern Virginia, Fairfax, Loudoun, PWC, Arlington, and Alex. I have them on my scan favorite list and get a lot of encrypted hits. Have yet to hear anything in the clear.

I updated my post with the youtube link. I'm in Las vegas and LA.
Federal Operations (Statewide or Regional) (California) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference for the LA Area
as for NV nothing shared/reported in the RRDB

Your best option is to spend time in SEARCH of the 162-174 band at 12.5 khz channel spacing, looking for activity.
Make notes, Tone, Voice, RIDs (if you have a radio or device for that)

it will take time (days, weeks, months or YUP years) as listening to Federal Agencies is not like listening to your Local Fire/PD/EMS/DPW

Once you've spent time in search, post back what you've found (not real time postings, take your time)
Yes they can be found in the VHF High band, and likely have access to both the Customs and Border Patrol channels/Nets as well as much of the NIFOG (Google it) and depending on the area, may or may not be active on your local Trunk with their own TG's

The "major" federal law enforcement agencies working in Illinois have their own talkgroups on STARCOM21, the statewide 700/800 MHz trunked system. DHS is one of those agencies. It appears that the majority of the federal law enforcement comms on this system are encrypted. In addition to the dedicated agency talkgroups, there are some that are used by multiple federal agencies for what appear to be joint operations. I noticed at least one FBI vest patch during the arrest shown in the video.

As for the antennas appearing to be VHF, these could have been multi-band radios that include coverage of the VHF band.

Yeah, I agree they could be multiband, I could not see the model of the radio. From the audio, it was definitely P 25. Here in Nevada I have seen where the federal agencies both have their own repeaters, and talk groups on the major systems. There are about four different federal agency repeaters on top of the Mandalay Bay Casino. And there is a secret Service labeled repeater on top of the stratosphere.

Curious what Alpha Tags they have on the Antenna cables ?
Most USSS sites put the common names on the RX and TX Antennas - ie: Baker, Charlie, Papa etc

The USBP has one channel in Phoenix that was in the clear. The ICE investigations frequencies in much of AZ are encrypted and should be.

Oh so true.

I just roll my eyes when some listeners tell me that 1811s sit for briefings every day before going 10-8, like on Adam-12.

Here in Indy, the locals have "roll call" usually at the precinct "roll call" as they are called daily. (No pun intended) At the "roll calls" they do shift briefing etc. Just like you see on "tv". If for some reason there is an event etc that disrupts the usual schedule, they will do an "roll call" in the field. Sometimes this is virtual via zoom etc. Feds are almost fully encrypted here, both on conventional, and when they are on the local, and statewide trs. There is some in the clear comms, but its getting rarer daily. Yes the precinct offices for IMPD are actually called roll calls, even on the official street signs. ( IMPD Northwest Roll Call, etc.) Heck, you sometimes see this on Live on Patrol with Ramsey County MN SO. It's not often that Sheriff Fletcher shows that, but it has happened a couple of times, at least with the Intelligence section for his "CAT" Team. So yes, those pre shift briefings do still happen in reality.

When I was a Chesapeake Police officer we would were required to get to the precinct 15 minutes early for pass down from the previous shift. Plus we were provided a copy of anything that needed to be passed down to everyone in writing put in our "mail slots". We had 4 precincts and we would usually just talk one on one to the previous shift officers right before we went on duty.

I got to do a couple of ride alongs with Hartford PD and sat through their roll call/incident debrief and it seemed pretty thorough, although a lot of officers were chatting and not paying attention. I showed up looking like an undercover cop and my relative set me up with a vest under my shirt so he wouldn't be blamed if I got hurt on the ride along.

At that time they were bringing in a new assistant chief and my relative told me to stand at the back of the room while he conducted the debrief. While many officers where chatting and joking he introduced me as the new assistant chief without breaking his stride and everyone in the room snapped to attention in their seats pointing straight forward. I was in the back with my hands in my pockets and when the occasional officer turned to look at me I just smiled and they looked worried. That was an epic experience in seeing how the department works, does their debrief and also pulls off an epic prank.

Thats a APX multiband..in NC they are using the state allocated VIPER talk groups..right now the focus is on big city areas, but id say,if they are serious and smart, theyll do the big city areas first, then hit the outer areas next, then go back into the big areas, then comb the farming areas again..NW NC is a major hotspot.

Most all state, federal agencies and local these days are using multiband( if theyve got a decent budget) and most have national interoperability templates programmed in the radios.
