Yes those are the Common Nationwide Allocations.

Yes activity has been heard on those, however you likely have more active LOCAL ICE channels, where are you located first ?

These do work great for Northern Virginia, Fairfax, Loudoun, PWC, Arlington, and Alex. I have them on my scan favorite list and get a lot of encrypted hits. Have yet to hear anything in the clear.

as for NV nothing shared/reported in the RRDB

Your best option is to spend time in SEARCH of the 162-174 band at 12.5 khz channel spacing, looking for activity.
Make notes, Tone, Voice, RIDs (if you have a radio or device for that)

it will take time (days, weeks, months or YUP years) as listening to Federal Agencies is not like listening to your Local Fire/PD/EMS/DPW

Once you've spent time in search, post back what you've found (not real time postings, take your time)
Yes they can be found in the VHF High band, and likely have access to both the Customs and Border Patrol channels/Nets as well as much of the NIFOG (Google it) and depending on the area, may or may not be active on your local Trunk with their own TG's

The "major" federal law enforcement agencies working in Illinois have their own talkgroups on STARCOM21, the statewide 700/800 MHz trunked system. DHS is one of those agencies. It appears that the majority of the federal law enforcement comms on this system are encrypted. In addition to the dedicated agency talkgroups, there are some that are used by multiple federal agencies for what appear to be joint operations. I noticed at least one FBI vest patch during the arrest shown in the video.

As for the antennas appearing to be VHF, these could have been multi-band radios that include coverage of the VHF band.

Yeah, I agree they could be multiband, I could not see the model of the radio. From the audio, it was definitely P 25. Here in Nevada I have seen where the federal agencies both have their own repeaters, and talk groups on the major systems. There are about four different federal agency repeaters on top of the Mandalay Bay Casino. And there is a secret Service labeled repeater on top of the stratosphere.

Curious what Alpha Tags they have on the Antenna cables ?
Most USSS sites put the common names on the RX and TX Antennas - ie: Baker, Charlie, Papa etc

The USBP has one channel in Phoenix that was in the clear. The ICE investigations frequencies in much of AZ are encrypted and should be.
