icom 706 mk11

Hello all.

I have just bought an elderly second hand 706 mk11 - there is a 5 pin socket underneath the rtty and civ sockets. can anyone tell me what this is for?
there is no mention at all in the manual.

On the MKIIG there's a 4 pin molex that connects to a tuner.

Not sure what it would be on an older 706. Might want to google for a manual or try www.mods.dk

Hi there n9mxq, thanks for the response, unfortunately the model I have is just a mk11 not "g" . I have the original manual for the machine but this socket is shown simply as a blank circle, I've also seen a "g" manual and there seems to be a blanking plate over this socket.

I forgot to mention that the machine came with a lead for this terminating in 2 mono 3.5 mm plugs. there are no manufacturers names on any part of this lead.
