I am unable to program repeater channels on my new ICOM IC-T10 transceiver. My radio will not recognize the ICOM programming software. This model transceiver is not listed in the CHIRP database. I have tried contacting ICOM directly with no success to date. Any help will be appreciated. Thank You

The procedure in the manual for saving memory channel seems pretty clear as long as you follow each step exactly. Basically, the steps are set the frequency in VFO mode, select the memory channel that you want to save to, then save the channel.

Where things seem to get more difficult is selecting repeater offsets and tones. What doesn't help is that the Basic Manual makes no mention of repeaters or offsets and little mention of PL tones. You have to dig into the Advanced Manual that that information. Page 4-2 and 4-4 talk about repeater settings and send you to page 5-3 to set the tone and page 5-4 to set the repeater offset. If "Auto Repeater" is turned on, that should automatically select the offset.

Setting the tone seems to present even more challenges. There's a Set Mode setting called "tOne" that seems to select between CTCSS (aka PL) and DTCS (aka DPL). Then, there's a setting called "R tOne" that seems to set the transmit tone and an other setting called "C tOne" that sets the receive tone (which you should not need to use an amateur radio repeater).

re: programming software, that radio appears to use a unique cable which comes in two incompatible versions (Win10/Win11), each with its own specific USB driver. It may be worth double-checking that you have the right cable, and the right driver. Documentation and drivers from ICOM at Support.

I had one of those radios. They were touchy as to the cable used. I ended up buying the RT Systems software AND their cable and then there were no problems. Good radio, but the display is not so great. It randomly uses upper case and lower case for no apparent reason. I ended up programing mine for some business frequencies my sister uses and giving it to her.
