Identifying a UHF Trunked System

I'm hearing what appears to be a Motorola-type control channel on 464.8125. Trying to figure out the rest of the system. I already had a 396XT, and just got an HP-1. Trying to set up the HP-1 to try and decode it, but have no information on how to set the bandplan for a UHF system.

Any thoughts, ideas, assistance?

Pretty sure That's a Trbo system not a Motorola trunked system.

You can't monitor it on current scanners

I've not known this company to use MotoTRBO as yet, and their license is for 11K emission, which would indicate standard narrowband.

This is also listed as a conventional license, not a trunked one. Interesting.

I'm just getting started with attempting to decode systems. I'll be working my way through the process.

Sutter Buttes Communications (WPTZ523) also has this frequency listed on a trunked system. I think it might be that system that I'm hearing. I don't see the listing when browsing Sutter County - it only shows up if I do a state search on the frequency.

Sadly not everyone follows the FCC R&R

I've found systems operating months before they even show as Pending in the FCC, as well as using the Wrong Emissions. running TRBO on a 20K or even 11K license

Best opportunity is try Close-Call with a scanner near the licensed site, that would either rule-them-out or confirm, then work on the next nearest licensee.

According to the decoding I've done it's TRBO/DMR as kma said.

Don't trust the licenses. These companies are notoriously bad at following them or updating them to reflect actual frequency usage.

A continuous "Motorola" sounding control channel that doesn't decode a system ID or any identifying information on screen is a trunking variant of MotoTRBO called "Connect Plus."

If you hear consistent bursts of the same type of Motorola-sounding data every 3 to 5 seconds, you are hearing the rest channel on another type of MotoTRBO trunking system called "Capacity Plus" (this one behaves more like an LTR system). The rest channel is not limited to a single frequency like a control channel and will switch to a new frequency every few minutes or so as multiple users key up on the system.
