Anyone have any idea who the SOS car 7J might be ? Heard him come on duty in Dist 4 a few days ago.

Was looking at RR Starcom Statewide List and i do not see any listings for Secretary of State Police after Dist 2 am I missing something

I suspect the TG in District 3 & 4 aren’t used much as the SOS investigators are pretty dispersed and work solo. It is possible no one has submitted the TG info for SOS Dist 3 & 4. As you can see from the map the SOS Districts are quite large. It is possible the car to car or other traffic is on some of the state wide SOS Talk Groups. Having to many rarely used TG in the scan menu is a disadvantage as you might not hear traffic that is more important depending on your geographic area. I can’t remember for sure but the original Starcom mobiles only had eight slots in the scan menu for different Talk Groups. With the way affiliation works on trunked systems unless your voting the same tower you probably won’t hear any other traffic unless it is a dispatch channel that has wide area coverage. A lot of Officer to Officer traffic was sent via MDC/IWIN or via cell phone.
