2 things... the absense of regions 6-10 was odd.
And I personnally keep confusing the roman numerals when they are used (VI vs XI)
I've never heard of Region numbers that high.... but according the the IDPH website:
Will try to keep it right this time & I have added the new map I just found!
If you or any one else know what the other regions are, I'd like to get them on here just to avoid confusion.
I understand your confusion, as I'm a paramedic and still don't understand all the Region Numbers. I was wondering if you had a different numbering system than the one I know. The hospitals in and around Chicago, that sponsor or run the paramedic programs , are the Resource Hosptals for alot of the suburbs. Christ Hospital is Region IX (9), Good Samaritan in Downers Grove is Region VIII (8), and I believe Ingalls Hospital in Harvey is Region VII (7). Most of the suburban hospitals utilize Med 9 (462.950) as a "calling channel" , then switch to the various other Med Channels. I took my paramedic class at Ingalls back in 1986 , and worked for Vandenberg Ambulance Service in Tinley Park. If my memory serves me correctly, Ingalls Med Channels were 3, 5, 6, 8 . Not sure of their PL though. Maybe you can call upon the members of the board to do a little research to get the Hospital Section 100% correct. Most of the suburban Med Channels are still un-repeatered, so both Output and Input frequencies need to be programmed. As far as Region XI Hospitals goes, I'd suggest removing the "Input Frequencies" as to avoid confusion to those not familiar with Med Channels. Since all the Region XI Med Channels are on repeaters, just put the Output or Base frequencies in the file. Save typing and space for you Terry, your fingers must be cramping.
