As the IMS is moving/has moved most operations for the complex onto the new Cap+ TRS from the old conventional system... Lets start a thread for gathering/identification of TG's. Here are a few I have found. 48, 88, and 125 so far. Working on ID'ing them.

I had taken what I and others reported so fsr and put them on the wiki. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Talkgroup Research - The RadioReference Wiki

I am hopeful we can get the talkgroups further determined to submit them to the database.

During May and even during the Indy 500, 99% of the talk groups were just parking lots and parking shuttles in the 80s and 90s sequence.

I think eventually we break this down into Golf Course, Parking, Track Ops, Safety/Security, Concessions/Food/Beverage, Medical, and whatever else we can discover. Also add in TG 52. I will try to get as much logging as I can, and ID'ing done of daily ops as it won't get real busy until the Brickyard hits. So far its Admin/Safety/Security in the 1 thru say 20.... Parking Ops in the 80's/90's.. Golf Course and Maintenance in the 100 thru 120.....

During one of the 500 practices, I noticed one of the yellow shirts in the turn 1 grandstands carrying a Motorola XPR7550e. On the display it said Ch.6 Stands / Mounds. According to the display icons, secure mode was off. Unsure what TGID this is, but I'm sure it's in the 1-20 range as milf said.

My guess is that track safety and parking talkgroups are divided by areas. For example, the Ch. 6 Mounds/Stands on the radio display and the mention of RVs on TG 88. Perhaps this talkgroup is for infield parking?

FWIW, went to the museum yesterday and they were still using old analog portables. I'm guessing they were using 451.4 or 452.15

Talkgroup 80 active with what sounds like race control during Indy Lights (Indy NXT now 🙄) testing on the road course today. I have this one logged as gates/museum.

Went back to the museum today. Museum staff and tour shuttle drivers were carrying Motorola Mag One BPR40 portables. This confirms my suspicion that some analog is still in use.
