Currently restoring for museum display a 1940's era Fred Link 2-way mobile radio used on the Monmouth County Police Radio system in the 40's thru 60's. Separate 25 watt FM transmitter tuned to 39.26 and separate receiver tuned to 2.366 AM shortwave. (Cars on the FM channel to the county; AM shortwave Base to cars). Would like to locate the list of radio signal and car number identifiers used during that era which will accompany the radio in the display. Police, fire and first aid units throughout the county were issued 3 digit numbers used on the county system as well as locally when departments established their own dispatch services. The shortwave system ended sometime in 67-68 when replaced with the VHF county car channel. I believe the three digit system was used through the mid 70's. I had this list back in 1962 when I started monitoring police comm; (shortwave receiver and tunable FM communications receiver) but long gone. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
