interference data bursts

has anyone else heard the interference on 155.595 oilton pd. If so any ideas what it is or where its coming from Thanks

Since we're on the topic of data bursts, what are the data bursts constantly heard on rural second-channel frequencies in the 150 MHZ band? I know pagers use that band. Do small towns use secondary channels to transmit data burst on, say, water tower levels, etc?

SCADA is usually on those VHF channels with REALLY odd splits, like 154.47125 ...

Sometimes these anomalies come from stuff around the scanner and are not actually radio traffic at all. While you may hear something I may not hear it at all. The more electronics around your scanner the more your likely to have this issue.

155.595 is used by Drumright PD and they are using a DCS tone of 371. Do you think it may be from them? Also VHF ducting has been pretty high lately. I have been hearing NOAA WX stations from all over since high pressure settled in after all the rain.

I drove through that area today. I had to lock out oilton due to what sounded like DMR/TRBO digital on that channel.
