Yes, I think there is a discrepancy or mis-match on the talkgroup mappings. I have a hunch and I've flagged some recorded tx's from a couple of other TGs that my 9yo may recognize better than i do. I'm at this house for the next few weeks and during the day I've got my SDS100 dedicated to GMRS/FRS and the two instances of the ICCSD systems.

I should trim my exclusions back and disable the bus TG for a while to collect more samples of in-building communication but my hunch is that for some reason possibly temporarily they're sharing the Alexander TG that is less than a mile south down the road from Wood.

One of my kids has a parent that is a driver on the district busses, but he isn't one of us - we gave them a GMRS radio provisioned for FRS wattage to reach the house (they're a block away) and I had to do more of a walkthrough than I expected considering i hear him every school day heh. The standard issue HT for district employees is keypad-less and doesn't give much in the way of details so I don't think non-IT/Telecom staff would even know what I'm talking about if I asked what talkgroup is used for Wood, and like I said some people would find that very off-putting that I am even asking but if I can't figure this out I will resort to district IT and give it a try.

I definitely gave Discovery long enough, I think it ran for nearly a week one time so I am confident I have a good sample of all provisioned TGs and p2p calls to figure this out. Most of the school radios don't have descriptive ID names on them but some are obvious and can help me filter possible candidates I guess. If I start a google doc or anything I'll drop it off here.

here's a view link of a sheet where i've imported some exported traffic logs from proscan and have a pivot table of radio/UID IDs, talkgroup IDs, and durations of combined recorded traffic that ProScan is aware of (there's a lot more but i just started using ProScan a few months ago to let me work on this sort of thing when i'm traveling)

if someone wants to dig in as well let me know i'll give write perms.

edit: note: there are names of users for the system in the UID and i am searching those up on the district site when i can.

i've confirmed quite a few based on UID, e.g. "NW Ofc" is good enough for me to greenlight for NorthWest Middle (formerly NW Junior High).

32, 37, 44, 46, 47, 48, 50, 52, 55 (busses) i am in complete agreement with RRDB so far.

in that doc i'm highlighting in green when i confirm RRDB is correct, there's a little legend in there purple text are my notes/UIDs on that TG. there are some new business TGs though: 102, 162 are not defined in RRDB, i'm ignoring the p2p calls for now although the UID on some of them has a proper name that i can lookup in the staff directory but so far most of them are Plant radios.

How active is this TG:15??? I listened with DSDPlus for a couple of hours this afternoon and did not see it at all....

EDIT:::: I looked through the DSD logs and this is what it shows from back in September:

TG: 15 "[GrantWood Elem] Grant Wood Elementary"

This comes from DSDPlus decoding the aliases....
TG15 has been totally silent for a couple of weeks now. it's not the right TG for that school but i'm still trying to figure out which is the right one. my worksheet i'm using has the people i've positively ID'ed by radio ID at which facility and some other clues based on other IDs. i considered calling their service provider to ask what's what but i wouldn't tell a weirdo like me so i assume they won't either ><
