When Apple first announced they were coming out with the iPad, for some reason I couldn't put my finger on why it sounded so familiar. Then at work I realized why:

Fujitsu IPAD.

Sounds like someone may have to change the name of their device!

Or pay Fujitsu
Probably.

They did the same thing with the iPhone. Cisco already owned the name - they let Apple use it in return for $ and the two companies said that they would "explore ways to integrate their solutions" or some marketing BS to that effect.. Sure enough, when iPhone Software 2.0 showed up, we magically had support for IPSec VPN... Hmmm.....

We can only hope. iPad is such a horrible name, especially considering how similar it sounds to iPod. This will be especially confusing if the person has a Boston accent. iTablet or iSlate sound much better in my opinion. Oh well... I'm not in marketing so what do I know! :D

When is it going to be approved for sale in the US?

I think you can get them from Fujitsu now, you might drop them a note and ask for their US distributor.
