Smart phone feedback around wi fi camera

Greetings:

This is my first post here and it will probably be obvious. If anyone thinks I should be posting in a more appropriate forum, please let me know. My feeling are not offended by those genuinely trying to help.

I have a number of questions but my first is t his: a few months ago while trying to adjust wi fi cameras in my house, I had to check my Iphone to be sure the cameras were sit in the best spot, and my phone was in my hand close, and it would make a horridly loud squealing racket, so bad I would have to stop. I just assumed it was normal feedback.

However, now that i am again moving a camera, my phone is close but oddly quiet. I am wondering, could that be someone who removed some type of tracking or listening device as a hacker might do? I won't bore you with details why I ask that but FRiday I am going to Apple to have my phone brought to factory reset after a year of too many off the wall things happening.

I am a new person to this having only a week ago purchasing a K18 + RF GS detector. I know it is a very rudimentary device, cheap. But I didn't want to spend a lot right off the bat until I could learn more about these. In that time I have talked over the phone about this and plans of what to do about the problem people. That my phone isn't reacting like before, I was wondering if that should tell me anything?

I appreciate you all thanks for being here. I am open to suggestions also. My goal is to stay safe and private.

so since it has school bus in what are the steps I need to program it
it's DMR ?

I would be so grateful to have this done tonight so I can hear it tomorrow morning for the morning and afternoon run

just so i know are these still acive talkgroups ?

I got new signal Bars from that site but i think if I program a close site that could still work ?

Hi @gmtTPA and welcome to Radio Reference. When you were watching on your iPhone where the camera was pointing, you should mute the audio. The feedback was most likely coming from the closeness of your iPhone and camera which has a microphone and speaker too. When it did not happen, you were positioned in such a way that the feedback loop was not there. Does this all make sense? Have a nice evening. Dave

Hi I am not sure what happened but I just wanted to thank Dave. Yes it does make sense. I just don't know why I got no feedback this time. Thanks for responding.
