Hello all! Do any of you guys and gals know if any NS Frequencies require an NXDN scanner for NW Indiana from Lake to Elkhart counties? I just bough a Uniden BCD436HP and I'm deciding weather or not to purchase the NXDN key. Thanks in advance hope some of y'all can help me out!

The big railroads don't use it much except in a few rail yards. Smaller rail companies are using it along with interurban light rail systems.
It's up to you if you want to get it. My opinion is it can't hurt and it gives you time to learn how to program it.
Who knows, maybe doing a search you will find usage before others know about it.

Looking through the database for Indiana, I am not seeing any NXDN for NS or any other railroad.
I agree with Randyk4661's assement.
Here in Southern Calif, the only NXDN I see is a few channels in BNSF yards and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) (which I monitor on occasion).
As for Class 1 main lines, I think it will be a while (or longer) before widespread use.

Use this website to find businesses and frequencies licensed for NXDN. There are around 10 railroads in Lake county that are licensed for NXDN.

You'll need it in the future, so I'd say invest now. As others have said, it is used on smaller RR's and in smaller areas of Class I's.
