I am hearing fewer and fewer sheriff’s and local PD calls On the viper system. I still hear EMS and fire calls, but not many law enforcement calls. Is Brunswick County going dark?
Is Brunswick County going encrypted?

Jeez I hope not. I live in Wilmington and Pender and Brunswick are the only police systems I can monitor!!

I can listen to Brunswick county on Broadcastify but not on my scanner. Not spure what’s going on.
Maybe they moved to Phase 2 and your scanner can't.

I have a Uniden SDS100. I believe it covers phase 2 P25 systems. Maybe something else changed.

UPDATE - my site is down (Supply, NC). I changed my site to Bolivia, NC and now I can receive everything.

I can't hear Wilmington PD I am here right now and they are encrypted on my unication pager. I am old so I maybe doing something wrong.
I'm 71 and you're not doing anything wrong. Wilmington went scorched earth re: encryption years ago.
