Welcome to the RR forums. These upgrades won't do you any good for a Motorola Type II Smartzone trunked radio system. Assuming ops are still in the clear as reflected in the RRDB (mode "D") the first thing you should check is to ensure all applicable service types are turned on for the talkgroups you want to hear: Reference "Tag" column per talkgroup table in the database for applicable service types. If all service types are turned on then I'd recommend posting your Uniden Sentinel .hpe export as an attachment to this thread so someone can check your programming. See directions towards bottom of post #6 in the thread linked here if unsure howI'm in Huron. I bought all 3 Uniden upgrades (ProVoice, DMR/MotoTRB0, NXDN when scanner started only getting fire & EMS.
Is Huron using encryption now? I've only been getting fire & ems for a couple weeks now. Even paid for upgrades, reprogrammed, & still nothing. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the response. So i take it radio reference has not updated for huron since they switched then. What numbers do i need to enter & where? I'm lost. Is there anyone who can take the zip file i attached and fix it using sentinal on their pc then msg it back to me. That would make my day guaranteed lolMaybe I missed it, but I don't believe you ever said if you're monitoring the legacy system, which is what I suspect, or the new P25 system. The Huron tower is listed as online on the new P25 system as of yesterday, which doesn't necessarily mean they have switched over, just that it's ready when they are ready to move radios over.
If they have switched, then that's why you're not hearing them. It appears they haven't encrypted, since the Beadle/Huron talk groups are not listed as encrypted (yet). Your 536 will receive the new system, you just need to program it. That said, I can't help you past that since we're not on the new system yet around here, so I haven't switched my radios. Of course you'll need the new talk groups, whose numbers are likely 1/16 of the old talk group number. You could enter it on your 536 as a new system, and scan both. The link below is for the new system;

Sounds like you have it set correctly. You just need to use the new talk groups. They changed the numbers so if you have the old ones programmed it will not receive anything. Once you put the new talk groups in it should start receiving again. I had same issue here too.I'm in somewhat of a similar situation. I use a Uniden BCD996P2 and have never had any issues using Radioreference for Database downloading. With the new P25 change over my scanner stopped working. I have downloaded what I believe to be the P25 update but was still not getting anything over the scanner. For some reason I changed a setting on the scanner switching from ID SCAN to ID SEARCH and the scanner started working again, but it is broadcasting things that I have marked as LOCKOUT cause they are not in my local area so don't want to listen to them as they have so much stuff going on that I miss out on local calls. So anyone else on here using the same scanner and within South Dakota? Just wondering if anyone else is having issues after the states P25 update?
Have you reprogrammed since the new P25 State Update that's been going on?Is Huron using encryption now? I've only been getting fire & ems for a couple weeks now. Even paid for upgrades, reprogrammed, & still nothing. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, it worked after going in and changing the DEC numbers on the scanner. Now I see RR has updated the database with the correct numbers. Thanks.Sounds like you have it set correctly.
