Any factual, or verifiable data to prove whether it is, or is not?
I'm asking about a Canadian radio system. There is no FCC data to look at.Do the sites have exactly the same frequencies? Those that do would be a simulcast site (cell).

west-pac - WA0CBW is correct. The fact he is in America is not relevant in this case. What he is saying is simulcast systems use the same frequencies on all towers at the same time and carry the same traffic. IE 851.000, 852.000, 853.000. A non simulcast system (FleetNet, for example) use different frequencies for each tower site even though they carry the same radio traffic.
WA0CBW. I know you did not bring up the database issue. The Canadian data bases (TAFL) are so heavily redacted they are virtually useless. All systems have to be R&D to locate the frequency set and then to locate the tower sites. It appears the member is just asking for confirmation on the system configuration.
Watching the tone and temper of this thread. Be nice.
Please have patience for people who actually live in Ottawa to go mobile to respond.
Is it a slow day in Indiana? What makes you think of Ottawa Canada?
Wow......just wow! Was that really necessary? The mod is only doing his job and he is right, why worry about something in Canada when a lot of their information is "E" ? You won't be able to listen to it anyway? - Sorry mciupa. Why do you have to engage in this thread? Is it a slow day in the moderation world?
So, anybody in Ottawa know the answer?
Site 2 is the same not simulcast.Although not exactly motivated by the original 'members attitude'. I did a little digging. Site 1 is not simulcast.
How do you know that?Site 2 is the same not simulcast.
because my BCD325P2 receives it with no problem. How do you know that?
What is the physical location of Site 1?Although not exactly motivated by the original 'members attitude'. I did a little digging. Site 1 is not simulcast.
What is the physical location of site 2?Site 2 is the same not simulcast.
What is the physical location of Site 1?
What is the physical location of site 2?
Can you look on the link you provided and tell me where the physical location is? (Hint: it's not listed)
just zoom in on the map. Or insert the lat and long into google maps. Can you look on the link you provided and tell me where the physical location is? (Hint: it's not listed)
