For school buses, many these days are run by contract companies (First Student, Laser, Sunbrust, Saint Louis Park Transportation, etc). Some (like Edina, Bloomington, Eden Prairie) still operate as part of the district. One thing to note, of those that still run their own bus system, few operate within the ARMER system (Saint Paul being one of the ones that comes to mind that does TGs 12376, 12378, 12382).
As for boring, 99.9999999% of the time that is true. But when there are local emergencies that may affect school transportation, it can get a bit interesting. Examples would be the Fire in Edina last night, and the recent New Prague lockdown.
The way I have found these frequencies is to do a search, like a previous post had mentioned. The ones I have found, have been found via this website.
RadioReference.com - Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference Database Go to the bottom if the page to where is says "Search for FCC entity" Put in the name of the school district/bus company, and state, then click search. I did Edina, it came up with the school district info. Click on the call sign of for frequencies given, and get further info.
