anyone know any freqs for the ISS in space?
The standarad amateur downlink freq in our region is 145.80. Of course, the station must be in your area (and if you're running, say an outdoor discone, the higher the angle the better) to hear anything.
You may hear packet bursts, other folks besides Leroy talking thru the ISS station as a repeater, or Leroy himself if you are lucky. Unless the crew has a scheduled contact with a school, hearing the station is very much a catch as catch can basis. They can use a refitted Kenwood transceiver which can be configured as a packet controller, a repeater or used as a standard 2m radio, depending on how Leroy wants it set for that pass. Of course, you need good tracking software to know when to listen.
I'm just getting into this myself. 73s Mike
