Does anybody else listen in on Jackson County's analog system and if so, are you hearing garbled transmissions on one of their frequencies? I'm listening via the live feed and the transmissions alternate between a half-second of clear voice and several seconds of the same noise you would get when two people press the mike at the same time. It doesn't sound like voice inversion. And it's not stopping them from using the channel.

It may be interference from a user on the same frequency. The feed provider may not be using a PL tone which could eliminate this interference.

That's possible, I guess, but if that theory assumes that the other user is keying up to cause the interference, I would expect some kind of random pattern with the garbled transmissions - a varying amount of clear voice with random interference. This pattern is pretty consistent each time.

The old scanner used for the live feed is not capable of filtering by PL tones.
