Jeffco Police convoy

I was headed west on I-70 about 7PM this evening and as I was passing the 32nd and Youngfield exit, a huge convoy of about 30+ police vehicles with their lights on was headed east. There were cars from JCSO, Golden, Lakewood that I could see. They also had some sign boards and some trailers in tow. Anyone know what that was all about? Were they headed to the Centennial Cone fire for traffic control or something?

Not sure its related but...

While returning from losing more money in Blackhawk around 10 PM, I had to go thru a DUI chekcpoint north of Golden on hi-way 58 just east of hi-way 93. There were at least 30 police cars checking people plus several more cars that were used as pickup cars for people who tried to avoid the checkpoint by turning at the lights before the checkpoint.

There were many agencies represented.
