July 2 2016 CARMA Meeting - Stevens Restaurant - Woodridge, IL

The next meeting of the Chicago Area Radio Monitoring Association (CARMA) will be on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Stevens Restaurant, 2393 W. 63rd St., Woodridge, IL 60517 630-810-9312. We gather at 11:00 am, order a breakfast or lunch item, socialize, then our round table begins promptly at 1:00 pm. Great food and service, separate checks as always. Be sure to program your scanner for the wireless microphone frequency of 171.045 MHz.

This month is a very special occasion, as Rich and Rexie Carlson are in town. Rich will moderate the meeting, but don't tell him yet! They haven't been back in Chicagoland since early 2015, so this will be a great time to talk to Rich, ask him questions, and enjoy the meeting.

RSVP's are not necessary, just come as you are, and be prepared to talk scanning, monitoring, and technology!​

Another Successful CARMA Meeting

We had a great time at the July 2nd 2016 CARMA meeting that was held at Stevens Restaurant in Woodridge. Rich Carlson N9JIG, former Moderator and Radio Guru was handed the coveted wireless microphone, and Rich ran the meeting. He gave such a good presentation, and a question and answer session, that we almost used up all the time in our private meeting room! We also had a round-table discussion, enjoyed the food, camaraderie, and fun making it a memorable meeting. Afterwards. Rich gave a few of us a "tour" of his newest mobile installation that serves his purposes well. Rich never surprises me with his ingenuity and carefully planned mobile radio installation.

We also had several guests and charter members, making this a fantastic event. If you weren't able to attend, you really missed out on a good time.

Thanks to Rich for being able to attend and emcee the meeting. Everyone was glad to see you, and hope that you and Rexie will plan your next vacation around another CARMA meeting in the future!
