I was cleaning out my junk drawer and happened across an old Samsung Galaxy SIII. I couldn't remember why I saved it, so I charged it up. Sometimes forgetful but always curious, I turned it on and the only app showing was the Uniden Siren app. I entered my SDS200's IP Address and low and behold, it still works (sound and all!). I recall that it did not work on my more recent phones and seriously crashed one of them (had to do a factory reset).

I know this has been posted about numerous times, but I do with they'd update it to work with current smartphone OSes. Now I am going to power it off and put a sticky called "Siren" on it. ;)

interesting, just yesterday I was cleaning out my "junk" closet and found I still had my GRE-800 and GRE-500, both still work after new batteries and wall wart plug in. Now to figure out what to do with them?
