I am only about 10 miles south of kenmore. I have not heard a peep on their new P25 system at all.

Do you drive? If so, go 10 miles North and see if you pick them up. Also, do you have any of the filters on in the SDS?

Currently doing a custom 3 at 465.500 and custom 4 at 460.500. This should pick up any broadcast on these 2 frequencies and still not hearing anything

For 465.500, pretty sure you would need to be close to the tx'ing radio.

I have the filter set at normal. I have adjusted it to auto as well. I just can't figure this out. Almost like a challenge at this point. There is no reason I should not hear them

Not really sure how the filters work as I don't use them (so never bothered to learn about them or how they work) but there are filter settings in the departments and there is a global filter setting in the profile.

If you drive, take a ride over there. If you hear nothing, then there is an issue with the radio or programming. If you do hear them, then you may just be to far or may have some interference near you.

This PDF describes them to some length. Best for the OP to experiment and see which one (if any) works. Personally I've found "Invert" works best for more distant stations

I have been advised the P25 repeater is operating from a temporary location pending construction of a new police station. So coverage is indeed very limited at this time. The Village of Kenmore is less than 2 square miles so coverage will not be extensive even from the permanent location.

that might explain it. Maybe they are at a reduced power or something. I have been playing with different radios with all different antennas with no luck, My mission continues.......

It is on a temporary antenna on a building. Not expected to be heard much outside of the village. When the new police station is completed it is expected to go back on a tower but coverage designed for only what is needed for the village.

I was just reading the new station project is supposed to be completed by june 2025. So in other words September 2025. Hopefully with the repeater goes back onto a tower which will be much higher in the air i will be able to pick it up. I have a uhf yagi antenna that faces north toward niagara county. I am also running a omni x antenna which works great. I guess time will tell...

I have the SDS100 with an antenna on the roof. I am only about 10 miles south of kenmore. I have not heard a peep on their new P25 system at all. I have about 6-8 hrs of monitoring it over past couple days. I have my radio programmed for 460.500 mhz and NAC of B23. Anyone out there been picking them up? I know there is not a lot of activity in village of kenmore but not hearing a peep is weird. tks
The Village of Kenmore just switched this past week to P25 conventional. The frequency is still 460.500 and the NAC is B23. With this being said... The village is less than 2 square miles and doesn't have a very strong repeater to begin with, however with the police station being rebuilt, the repeater has been moved to the top of an apartment complex. Due to this, the signal is not very good but does work fine within the village. Once the police station is finished or maybe before I believe the antenna will be placed on a tower and you should be able to hear it better.

I just to get why I have not heard a word. I have had it on now for past 2 hours and nothing. I know kenmore is fairly quiet but this is a bit much. I am in south cheektowaga. I have a omni X antenna on roof. I also have a UHF yagi facing north for niagara cty P25 system. I have not heard a word from either antenna
Are you hearin gother radio transmissions from different radio systems on those antennas? If you are then listen in FM mode to the frequency with no PL/DPL set to see if you hear digital transmissions.

Well I finally picked up a couple transmissions last night. At least I know my radio is working. The issue must be the lower power or antenna placement of their repeater. Hopefully when it moves to the tower this summer it will broadcast farther out.
