kenwood tk-2107 problem

I have problem with one portable radio.TK-2107. When the Radio was powered on, a sound like bip! bip! bip! heared.after few seconds it's ternd of. I check the battery. Did any one now what i can do;

Definately sounds like a dead battery. Did you charge it first?

Yes I charge it. When the bip stop the radio doesn't open at all

Well the blip is a "battery low/dead" warning. Im curious did you just get the radio and is the battery pack used? im still betting on a dead cell in the battery pack possibly

I found the problem. It has burned up one capacitor. I checked it on power meter and i saw that the power was to big, otlist 10A. Now it works very good. Thank you for your help.
