Kerr County?

I took my SDS100 to our cabin about 16 miles south of Junction in Edwards County and programmed every Fire and Police channel I could find for Edwards and Kerr Counties, but didn’t hear anything for several days. I’m using an external magnet-mounted antenna on top of the cabin, and I did receive weather broadcasts, so I know it’s working. At home in Brazoria County, both my SDS200 and SDS100 work with no issues. So, what’s going on with Kerr and Edwards Counties? Is there just no activity, or am I out of range? I’d really like to monitor the fire service while I’m there.

Kerr SO on GATRRS is secure, Kerrville PD is secure.
Edwards Co talkgroups will only come across the Kerr system if a radio is affilated to one of those sites and actively on Edwards Talkgroups

Since your saying channels im assuming you programmed the conventional stuff and not the trunked talkgroups?

If you programmed GATRRS trunked info did you see any RSSI on your scanner?
