There is a good one called Metro Communications. What are you wanting to have programmed into the radio? They won't do anything unless you have the license or work for whoever does.
I would think that they would do that. I know that when I was going to see about a motorola CP-200 to use for amateur radio, I could not even get the public safety frequencies programmed in to monitor for ARES. I would think that they will program FRS in though.
Probably not unless it is type approved for FRS by FCC. They are very strict about what is approveable for FRS. Would be easier to pick up a pair at Wally world.
If they are military radios, for military use, have them programmed at the base where you work. It seems strange that the military would send you out on the street to have a radio programmed that is going to be used by them. New one on me.
I don't work at a base I am a reservist and as a reservist we do not have the tools/software necessary to program these radios here at the reserve center, nor the training. We could I guess send them off to a military shop at Bragg or Campbell but it is a pain in the butt and we have to write out a huge paper justifying it. if I could find a local or local shop that could do it I could just take the radios there explain what I want and get it done. I know it can be done because another unit we ran into down range had theirs done in FRS.
