KSP/ Uniden BC796D Question

I live in Floyd Co. in east KY. I know KSP switched to digital several years ago. I'm getting ready to purchase the Uniden BC796D scanner for someone as a Christmas gift and I was wondering can KSP be heard on this scanner or is it some other type of digital scanner that KSP can be heard on ? I'm not too familiar with digital stuff. Thanks for your help. My scanner is just basic analog.

KSP CAN be heard on that one but id perfer the pro 2096 or pro 96 from radio shack just because of better software and it has a automatic digital tuner sound quality or ATT that lets digital tune better with its self the bc 796 u will have to tune it for best digital quality

Hi. Thanks for the info. I've heard that the RadioShack Pro 2096 is much better than Uniden. Doesn't Radio Shack have their own repair center now? The basic analog scanner I have now is 13 years old and it came from RS and it's still like new. I originally was gonna purchase the Uniden for myself for Christmas but I think I will get the Pro 2096 for myself as well as my uncle.

The Shack is putting them on sale in 6 days at $399.99. Or there is an independent RS dealer in northern Indiana who will ship them now for $799.98 plus 12 bucks shipping and no sales tax for out of state sales.
