WOW!!! Feeling fortunate that my 780 knobs are still intact after all this time. As with others it is on 24/7 on air band and local ham repeaters. Sitting proudly with my HP1, (2) 996P2 and a couple of amateur rigs. Had several knobs on my K3 go bye bye way too soon.

I wish I still had my 2 780’s, they were great radios! Like many, I had to save a lot in order to buy my first one. Things were better for me when I bought the second one. I almost bought a third one because I wanted one in my vehicle but I just moved one from the listening post to my vehicle. I did purchase the remote head kit so I could hide the main unit. Easy to program, either directly, or through the software. All in all a great radio.
