Ems going soon
It will be interesting if/what TG they patch EMS to. Squad 12 uses EMS Interoperability for determining their crew.

I would think being a full time patch from Lakewoods P25 conventional to the OC TRS system, it would be more beneficial to define a patch TG.

Squad 12 can get entertaining, being that they unofficially dispatch on OC interop's ppl will get on the channel and ask them to stop speaking.

They had a DMR channel before migrating to OC TRS, I am also surprised that they didn’t get their own talkgroup. I am not a system planner, so I don’t know if there are underlying things to take into consideration when deploying a new talkgroup.

Just heard testing of the pagers. What pager does DMR ??

Squad 12 has a DMR channel that they would use after dispatch (not to be dispatched) where they would coordinate what crews would respond. Once they moved to OC TRS, they could no longer use that VHF channel on their new P25 radios, so now they use EMS Interoperability.

Okay so question, since Lakewood is staying on the same FQ, what parameters do I need to change in my Home Patrol II to get them over to P25 and will they be using TG's ? Does anyone now if the Database has already been updated with the new information ? Thank you.

I am not sure how patching two systems work, but it could be that the patch is only operational when a radio is on and subscribed to the fire interop talkgroup, and no one has been on it in a while.

yes you are correct and however the radio techs have it setup,EMS was patched to it also the other day.

Wow, that's going to be some nice chief truck for $120 thousand.
We had a cheif truck near where I used to live that had over $30k in just comms equipment. It had like 4 APX 8500s, 2 APX 8000HXEs, a vehicular repeater, a satellite phone and a bunch of other stuff. I don't know the final total on the vehicle but I bet it was at least $130-150k. It was completely unnecessary for their department's uses but they had more money than they knew what to do with apparently.
