What is the reason?
We're asking why someone wants information on an informational message board? Really?
I just thought "for some reason" was pretty vague and could be explained more for better assistance.

Where I live in NY, we have a very LARGE Ultra Orthodox community. Lakewood, NJ is becoming the same way. They will eventually completely take over all of the emergency services there or create municipal emergency services that compete with the current police, fire and EMS agencies (see the Village of South Blooming Grove, NY where they created a fire brigade right next door to the current Village municipal FD). They came with with an separate 10 digit phone number to call instead of 911 and they have instructed community members to call this number instead of 911. They use Hatzolah BLS/ALS instead of the local BLS/ALS Ambulance Corps, they call Chaverim instead of the municipal official police department and the "fire brigade" instead of the real FD. They do not use the Orange County 911 Center for their dispatch and they are working off of an LTE based POC radio system. In Rockland County, NY Hatzolah uses the County Radio System and they are fully encrypted 100% of the time, so nobody knows what they are up to.
In NJ, ALS has to be hospital based by law. The FD in Lakewood is transitioning from volunteer to career, they have 2 engines and 1 ladder right now and growing and they are very busy. Hatzolah has a large presents already in Lakewood and other towns on the NJ shore. I have also seen Chaverim directing traffic at MVA's and other innecadents. IDK, if a fire brigade would be allowed through NJ DOFS, I know "Exterior Firefighters" are not recognized in NJ. I do know that some NY State Orthodox communities get their fire brigade training at the Bergen County Fire Academy.
None of this crap is really allowed by law in NYS, but their money and power allows them to get away with whatever they want and that is the messed up part. I worked at CENCOM for a few years, so I know how NJ rolls with ALS being hospital based. I know it is a different state, but in Florida, all of the ALS was all County based Fire/Rescue and it was law. Well, Hatzolah of South Florida convinced DeSantis to sign a special law just for them, so they could run ALS on their ambulances. Who is to say that something similar will happen in NJ......You never know!!!!

Lakewood hatzolah already has ALS. They have a partnership with RWJ where their medics for for RWJ and the operate under RWJs oversight and medical control when they need to run ALS units for a Jewish caller. RWJ has also created this similar structure with other NJ Hatzalahs.
