Is anyone local to eastern Lancaster County able to verify that 33.92 is active with rebroadcast of county dispatch and transmitting from the Bird in Hand area?
WNKC982 FCC Callsign WNKC982 (Township of East Lampeter)

I have a submission from a member in California who hears daily traffic on this lowband freq. If it is coming from a local fire company I'd like to list it properly in the database and not just list it under county fire/ems.

Always looking for confirmation on the ever mysterious 462.775 rebroadcast, as well. When I was last in the area, that appeared to be carrying dispatch and A/B/C traffic, not just dispatch.

I can't hear at my location in the southern end, but have heard it when traveling. IDK the source. Could be anywhere between Paradise and Ephrata.

Yeah I'm about an hour's drive east from that location, had no issues picking up their low band dispatch in the past when they used 33.90. Been sitting on 33.92 for about an hour, nada!

33.92 is alive and well. Dispatch transmits on it. From 13:40 to 13:45 there were calls for Conestoga, East Hempfield, and Willow Street.

I understand it is alive and well. It's being heard all the way in Cali at times. What I need confirmation on is the transmitter. There is a license listed above that is the suspected location...just hoping someone could confirm that location is the source.

This picture tickles memories of Phelps Dodge antennas from Marlboro NJ and the Master Pro on 33 MHZ. Longest DX request card was from Germany.

I hear Lancaster on 33.92 EVERY SINGLE DAY in Southern California. I've got the tapes.

"Rapho township..." "Intermediate 82-1" (whatever that is)...
It's funny because this site can't even be heard throughout Lancaster County. I was driving throughout the NE portion of the county before I actually was able to stop in the firehouse parking lot and was surprised at how limited of a footprint it has. But, get up into that upper atmosphere and it's hello Cali.

Intermediate is an EMS designation the county uses for ambulances with crews that aren't paramedics, but are above basic EMT, I guess. It's not used everywhere in PA.

You'll hear all Three.

"BLS" Basic, "Intermediate", "ALS" Advanced Life Support,
Followed by Station Number and Sub Unit if more than one.
Also, "Truck" is used instead of "Ladder", The rest are pretty much self explanatory.

Actually it’s Ambulance, Intermediate and Medic. You will also occasionally hear MICU if the unit is from Chester or York Counties. In those counties, transport ambulances that are ALS are called MICU and a Medic is a chase car.

We don't have intermediate units here in California (that I'm aware of), you're either BLS or ALS. And we also use the term Truck and not Ladder.

It is really neat to hear Lancaster out here. I hear Delco Dispatch on 33.900/136.5 for Radnor Township all the time as well. Otherwise, on that channel, I hear Noble County, Ohio Fire Dispatch.

33.920 also has the Riverside County, CA disaster net on it, second wednesday of the month. Curious if you folks out east can hear that when Lancaster isn't talking. They hold a net once a month, otherwise it's quiet.

Forgot, there are QRS units at a few FD's as well. Somewhere below ambulance..
IDK what the exact distinction is. Don't think I've ever heard Cali on 33.92. I think you guys can hear it better than the locals. Very small footprint. Must go straight up. 😆
