Does anyone know if the Ledyard police have went over to the CLMRN fulltime and are no longer using the UHF channel? I know that CLMRN use to simulcast the UHF channel. Thanks Gary

Yes they are now full time on CLMRN though I have been told they have the UHF capability in the cars still. Prob for a fallback when the system goes down.

From what I am hearing, both FDs may also be going over to CLMRN as well. Not confirmed as of yet.

Ledyard Police have been on CLMRN for some time now.
Ledyard's Fire Departments will not be on the state system any time soon.
Just got the same FD info. I work / worked with a lot of people involved in that.

I am on the New London County Fire Chiefs Association's ESF-2 Working Communications Group, this has come up a number of times over the past year. I hope they come onto CLMRN, as Norwich is on it, Montville now has its MOUs so we can start transitioning to the State System hopefully in the near future, and Groton is shifting over at this time. It is a process and most people think it is a snap of a finger ... it is not. It is a lot of paperwork, back and forth, and its not a quick or affordable process.
