Anybody in the Bucks County area or Northeast Philly the huge plume of black smoke you see is a 3 alarm fire at the Levittown Lanes bowling alley on New Falls Road. Roof collapsed around 6 a.m. huge fire.

News Choppers can be heard talking to each other above the scene and there is already spectacular video on the internet... Levittown Lanes fire.

Fire Crews never even entered the building as the fire moved so rapidly.

Chopper Pilots thought this assignment would be a quick one, in and out but it looks like they're going to remain on the scene.

Monitor Bucks County Fire East, Fire South, emergency band, fire police South and news Chopper air-to-air 135.8750.

Because of a history of these bowing type roofs collapsing, plus a completely finished basement along with the lacquer bowling alleys was the reason they never even entered the building, that's policy now because of deaths in the past.

What you have now is a massive charlie foxtrot with rush hour traffic as the whole area is shut down. More apparatus entering the area for coverage...

It's funny I leave my radios on all the time by my bedside and the chatter did not wake me up. I got a text message at 5:55 a.m. notifying me of the fire and that didn't wake me up... What woke me up was the poor AGC on my sds200 as 2 News Choppers talking to each other on the aviation frequency flying over my house blasted me awake.

I remember "Lansbowl" suffering the same fate about a decade and a half ago. Wish I still had the audio for that job. Great job to all
