Leyte Gulf Fire

Did anyone catch the fire on the USS Leyte Gulf in Norfolk today? I live too far away to normally pick up Norfolk so I missed this.

Was waiting in line at the bank where they had CNN on the monitor behind the tellers. This was a breaking story for them.

WTKR and WAVY don't have much info on their pages other than there was a fire that was quickly extinguished, there were five injuries and that this was "NOT" a terrorist attack.

I hope the guy welding had a fire watch. I spent 3 months in Fire Watch Division when I first got to the USS Forrestal after it got back from the Med in Sept 74. Every yardbird welder was assigned a fire watch who would stand by with a fire extinguisher....just in case.
