I'm mostly running a BC125at and an ancient RS Pro 97 (99% BC125at). I have what are supposed to be the frequencies for the local Life Flight system. They have a station 5 miles away at the Pullman/Moscow Airport. (PUW). I can see them heading for the local hospital but have not been able to get any traffic at all on them. I seem to remember hearing LF traffic on the Pro 97 years ago. But nothing on the BC125at now. It is possible that the BC125at just can't get them?

This listing is old and may not be correct. The listing for Lifeflight 81 is not in use anymore. Lifeflight no longer services Eastern Idaho at Portneuf Medical center.
Lifeflight also operates on the ICAWIN System in the Southern part of the state.
See this listing for other possible frequencies in your area:

Thank you thewenk. Why is it when ever I go looking for information like that, I can never find it. Maybe I should get my wife to do it. Her google fu is much better than mine.

I'll let you know if I get any traffic. There were lots for my local area, Moscow, Idaho. 5 miles from the Life Flight pad at the airport. 2 miles from the hospital with the pad. I set up the old Pro 97 as a dedicated scanner just for Life Flight and general aviation.

This is where you will hear the majority of LF now. those old freqs may be limted as fallback or not in use at all.

I disagree, at least in the Ada County/Treasure Valley area.

Air St. Luke's uses these talkgroups (despite the current names in the database, 45106 seems to be for Air-Air and Air-Ground [i.e., the actual helicopter flights], and 45017 seems to be for Air St. Luke's ground transport only). But I've never heard Life Flight traffic on ICAWIN. I assume they have their own VHF frequencies but I haven't tried to find them.

To be clear, Life Flight is a specific medevac company/network distinct from Air St. Luke's, even though many people use "life flight" as a generic term for a medevac helicopter. Air St. Luke's does most medevac flights in southern Idaho, but occasionally you will see Life Flight flights come and go between hospitals in the Treasure Valley and eastern Oregon.

You are correct. I was referring to just Air St. Lukes TG's when i looked. Sorry about that.
Portneuf Air Rescue comes up on a TG as well on the ICAWIN system, I believe they are Eastern Idaho?

Yes , Portneuf Air is based in Pocatello and has a general operational area in Southeast Idaho. From Burley east and from Blackfoot south to northern Utah.

Air Idaho Rescue (Air Methods) serves Eastern Idaho, Southwestern Montana and Northwestern Wyoming (including Yellowstone National Park) with bases in Idaho Falls, Driggs, Salmon and a seasonal base in West Yellowstone, MT. Air Idaho Operates on the EICAWIN system or VHF frequencies used by the ground contact agency.
