The "home" communications system for EMS helo Lifestar Chicago (based in Joliet, https://www.facebook.com/LifestarChicago/ ) appears to be the A Beep LTR system in Lockport (site 9 at https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=1153 ). The only repeater that appears to still be active at this site is 464.300, but I have not spent much time trying to confirm that. Being a good distance from this site, I listen to the repeater input (469.300) to hear their comms.
This morning, Lifestar was heard working AirCom (Air Methods national communications center in Omaha, Nebraska) on 469.300 and identifying the site/channel as "Joliet". During that conversation, they asked AirCom for a test on the Bradley site. I immediately thought that it might have been another A Beep repeater or LTR system site, but after a brief look in the FCC license database, I didn't find anything licensed to A Beep within about a four mile radius of Bradley.
Does anyone know what freq or system Lifestar uses in the Bradley area? Also, would anyone know what other repeaters or systems they use when they leave the Lockport area (i.e. in or close to Chicago, etc.)?
As always, thanks in advance!
