The Comm Plan looks like a Type III or local team management. Given the large increase in acreage I suspect by tomorrows day shift a NIFC system will be brought in, which will change all of these frequencies with Command repeaters and more tacticals. They will be nationally assigned frequencies instead of the local ones on the plan now.

You’re correct, it is a T3 team running it
Currently in unified cmd with USFS, BDC and SBSO

BDF Admin has had "Line Air Tac" mentioning trying to use Air To Ground Command. Currently flying over the "Green Valley Area"

Line Air Tac was on BDF Admin and was instructing a Patrol unit to try 159.2775 (R5 TAC 25)

I just heard that a new fire has started around Onyx Peak. No further info.

The Line fire is advancing up the mountains to the south and west of Big Bear Lake and now the fire near Oynx Pk is a little south and
east of Big Bear Lake. Hope I don’t have to go rescue a couple of repeaters.

If you are in a place where you can hear them, BDF Forest Net is repeated on link 409.1875 and Admin net is on 410.7875

It's handy for hearing more than one repeater.

The 159.2775 is not an R5 or federal frequency, it is Cal Fire Air to Ground 15.

Thanks for the updates.

Please share whatever document you have since mine must be out of date

Your listing is out of date. The R5 Frequency Guide shows Cal Fire Tac 25 as 151.1450. A better place to look these up is the FIRESCOPE Communications Guideline (MACS 441-1). Link:

FIRESCOPE Comm Guide

There were a lot of changes to the Cal Fire Tacs and Air to Grounds in the last couple of years.

I can't get that link to work. Do a Google Search using these words:

FIRESCOPE Communications Guideline (MACS 441-1).

This will take you directly to a site with the guide.

Thanks!

All of the Firescope docs are listed here: https://firescope.caloes.ca.gov/publications

MACS 441-1 May 11, 2024 is here and will automatically download https://firescope.caloes.ca.gov/ICS Documents/MACS-441 2024.pdf

If you search within the document you'll find that 159.2775 is not exclusively a simplex A/G freq but can be paired for repeater ops

Examples:
151.3325 & 159.2775
155.9025 & 159.2775
