hey all so i have a BCD996p2 with the DMR upgrade and while messing with adding my cities public works channels that DSD+ says is a CAP+ system i added a channel 155.2500mhz and while sitting on the channel with out it scanning it did this

could this be the control channel for the system or something? i only ever got data on it with DSD+

yes that is what i am programing in in fact i am the one that provided the information to the database for the mototrbo system they are using as well as the four winds casino but i never had a DMR scanner till now i just used DSD+ with a tapped BCD396xt so i never saw those weird symbols and stuff on a display till now hence my wondering if that channel is used as a control channel

Update your firmware. 996P2's ship with 1.06 at best., check in 'Settings' for what firmware your at.

None of my 996p2's would update until after FW version 1.08.01 was installed. I have never seen the display look like that either. How did you update the firmware?
