There are a few issues i'm experiencing.. Here they are...

Audio for my feed seems "grainy" in a way and also, having trouble setting the volume at an appropriate level because it seems alright to me, but at a neighbours house, the volume level is very low and all computer volumes are to the max and audio has almost a grainy noise in the background (same as mine). Also, when i turned up the volume so its hearable, it cuts out or grainy noise gets louder (almost sounds like a busted speaker). Also having a problem where the live feed stops playing, so i press play again, but it just replays what i just heard, almost like an archive file. So i have to go back in and click listen again.

Anyone else experiencing this??

Any suggestions for any of these would be great! Thanks.

Are you using your line in input or your mic in input on your computer and what type of cable are you using?

The other problem I dont know whats going on but the audio problem I can try and help. Please answer the questions above.

I have fixed the audio problem, i got it to a fair level, after playing around with it for an hour and a half. So were good with the audio part..

Also having a problem where the live feed stops playing, so i press play again, but it just replays what i just heard, almost like an archive file. So i have to go back in and click listen again.

Any suggestions for this problem? It only happened to me once or twice.

I'm using a 6' stereo cable from my scanner to my line in. As far as the type of wire, i'm not sure, bought it at zellers. Whatever is a big brand name of wire, thats likely it, cause i paid a good bit for it when you can buy the exact same kind of wire at the dollar store but its a cheaper quality wire.

Are you listen to the audio live from the scanner and using a media player at the same time? The player will have a few seconds delay after the actual broadcast happens.

Yes, But I dont see how that could contribute to this. I dont think that would cause it.

When I ran a single scan feed, I did not allow My Audio on the peak-o-meter to exceed -15 db gain. Here is how I did that and had Perfect Audio all the time.

I use Creative Software

On the creative panel, I set: Mic to 15% and the Recording device (also mic) to 10% on the Scanner I had the volumn at 25% and on the peak-o-meter the slider was also at about 25%.

On my Stereo feed, I use LINE-IN, so the Actual Line-in is at 35% and the recording device (line-in) at 25% Scanner volumn dial slightly above 1/4. and Peak-o-meter slider at about 1/2 also.

The software and Gordon prefer you use the MIC input as even with your setting on low the jack is sensitive enough to record a Good audio quality.

Hope that helps someone.
