Logan Cty: CR 39 and 32 MVA involving power pole w/ejection. SO and FD o/s w/one code red. No pulse and 4 breaths a min. Poss. code black but not confirmed yet.

Subject: A 21 year old Sterling, CO man was killed in a one vehicle crash early this morning.

On March 22, 2008 at approximately 1:45 AM Ryan Lieber-Knecht age 21 of Sterling died of injuries suffered in a rollover crash on Logan County Rd
39 one-half mile north of Pioneer.

Lieber-Knecht was driving a 1995 Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound on Logan Rd. 39 when he lost control, ran off the left side of the road, crashed into a utility pole, a wire fence then rolled 2 1/4 times.

Lieber-Knecht who was not wearing his seat belt was ejected from the truck as it rolled. Lieber-Knecht was taken to Sterling RMC hospital where he was proounced dead.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Alcohol/Drugs are suspected. Lieber-Knecht was the only occupant of the vehicle.
