Here's my log of aeronautical direction finding beacons down on longwave from the last few days. Nothing particularly rare or distant, but it's fun chasing them none the less. Listed as: Frequency, Call, Location (some have a name such as "Paser", and Grid Square. Rig: Yaesu FT-767gx and 200 ft inverted "L" antenna. I'm re-doing my spreadsheet log, so that's what got me tuning the band this weekend.

FRG-7 with freq display and 4mHz up-converter. Antenna is an L-400B from LF engineering. Great antenna

Hello All: Hope this is a good place to post this question.

In the Southern California area, (Channel Islands) there use to be a NDB Radio transmissions from three different loactions on the same frequency. The transmissions of the different loactions took turns with different CW ID's allowing the radio operator to DF (Direction Find) on these beacon stations.

I think the locations were Avalon, Anacapa Island, and San Perdro. Can't remember the frequency.

Any light on this would be grealty appreciated.

Hello K9RZZ: Yes thats a great web site. Thanks.

It was a "Marine Sequence Becon" System that I believe now had Point Vincente (Palos Verdes) , Point Loma San Diego, and Anacapa Island on 302 KHz, as these locations took turns or a sequence in transmitting their CW or MCW ID transmission, on the same frequency.

There may have even been more than one Marine Sequence Beacon System out there. A look on the ol mans Bendix Model 550 DF Radio, Dyno Lables making the frequencies and MCW Id's will tell this.
