After years of being off the air because I moved I am now BACK on the air from Cape May, NJ (FM28mw)! Need ALL COUNTIES (except Cape May of course) ALWAYS looking for simplex contacts I am especially looking for Delaware and Maryland since they are right across the bay!!!! I do have Cerebral Palsy so my voice is a little hard to understand at first but I've made three contacts and ALWAYS listening!!!! Very exacted to exchange QSL Cards 73 KC2GIK from Cape May!!

What simplex frequencies do you operate on? The National Calling Frequencies for 2 M and 70 cm?

Bearing96.3° E (from K4EET)
Distance94.9 mi ( 152.8 km)

If you need Anne Arundel County or the FM19pc grid, I could see about having my son do a temporary install of my 2 Meter 4-element beam and if that doesn’t work I could try my 2 Meter 22-element beam.

I too am disabled and use a wheelchair. I might ask if you knew Mark E. Smith of Wheelchair Junkie fame who also had Cerebral Palsy? He was a manager at Pride Mobility /Quantum Rehab. He helped me configure a few of my wheelchairs over the past 20 years. Sadly, Mark is no longer with us.

As for making a sked, I am currently off the air for the most part. My son, a home improvement contractor, is building me an accessible ham shack which I hope to fully move into within a month or two. It may be next Spring before we can get the beams deployed. I hope to have a Cushcraft AR-270B up sometime in November but unless you have some beam-power on your end coupled with a nice ducting event, the near 100 mile shot is going to be tough. I’ll be running 50 watts with about 2dB of loss in the feedline.

Best wishes for your successful efforts in working the counties on simplex. Hopefully one day we will be exchanging QSL cards too.
