So some how i accident had my scanner factory reset and lost every from my trunking system. Is there a way to reprogram my radio.
i have the cable to connect the radio to my computer. any advice will help

I have psr- 500 scanner i just have the gre/rs object editor
just trying to get it to work again

reload the back up copy of the programming file that you should have saved on your computer.

Did you use programming software to program your scanner previously? Did you save those programming files?

If you have to start over from scratch, you can use the info from the Radio Reference database:

What you and others want to do is once programmed go in and save a copy up to your V-Folder so if and whoops you can get it all back in a minute.

I agree! The V-Scanner folders are not affected by a reset. I program scanners for firefighters in several counties. I have a different configuration setup for each county and each is stored in a different V-Scanner folder in my PRO-197. I can easily load the configuration for any county into the main memory to demonstrate how it is programmed.

What is your city and county and which agencies do you want to monitor? I assume you are in Michigan. We need to check the database to determine if your scanner is capable of monitoring what you want. Systems change over time.

Since this is the Michigan Forum, I think your assumption is correct.
