am i missing something here ?
does the lorain police use a repeater?
i seem to hear the dispatcher fine all of the time , but when a officer replies it sounds like he is on simplex as there signal has what sounds like mobile flutter on it . i am listening to 155.250 isent this the dispatch output freq ? Sometimes i dont hear the officer at all . can anyone offer any info or help ?

It tells you if they use a repeater or not. The "RM" indicates that they do.

The only other possible option woul dbe if that unit was using "Talk Around" to talk around the repeater input and simply transmit on the repeater output. Based on tha data in the link above, Lorain City PD is on a repater input freq = 153.845.

I live in Ridgeville and notice the same thing with the Lorain PD, the Dispatch is always strong
but the mobiles come and go. I' am guessing they use the Rptr in DIRECT Mode or possible a
lower pwr input setup. I
