Lost access to a Windows – am I SOL as for programing my pro 106, 197, & home patrol

Long story but bare with me please. So I'm getting divorced - the ex commandeered the suped-up iMac from which I ran windows and all of the cool software that programs, updates, and otherwise maximizes the utilities of our scanners - it worked great, had win 7 running via parallels, had the driver for the radio shack cord installed - all was well. Then boom, divorce and I lose this sweet setup. I figure I did it once, I can do it again - why not right? I buy an iMac and stuff it with ram, grab parallels and figure ill download a copy of windows from the microsoft sight like i did last time. NO GO. evidently the current copy of windows can only be installed as an upgrade unless you get this crazy developer version which is out of my price range.

Do I have any options? Please tell me someone has come out with scanner programming for mac … please.
Anyone else face a similar problem? How did you overcome the adversity of incompatibility.?

Any suggestions would be so appreciated.

Which version of Windows? If you are talking about Windows 8

The first reply was good, but you can also find a decent used windows computer in the same price range with a little shopping. At a recent hamfest, off lease Dells were going for around $100. If you live by a big university, they often have a place where you can get a good used computer for a reasonable price. You don't need a powerhouse for simple scanner programming.

These are new SP1-U ISOs directly from Microsoft. You will still need an activation key to use these copies after the 30 day grace period is over.
