Again, I would suggest reverting back to an earlier version of your firmware (both main & sub), then updating back to the current version. The only other option might be to swap out for a fresh SD card. Corrupted cards do happen, and are known to produce peculiar situations like this.

Yep, definitely not hearing everything. There are a lot of cities I am not hearing that I get full bars on when I stop on them but no sound, but a lot I am getting . Don't know, I guess I will check with service dept. Monday and see what they say.

OK. I am going to try a new card. Anything special I need to do or a process to do it?

If it's already preformatted (ie: freshly bought, right out of the package), just go into Sentinel while connected, go to Clear User Data, select Show All Drives and select the drive, then write your database & favourites lists to the scanner..... The card should be no bigger than 32GB. If you do need to format a card, you'll need the official SD card formatter utility, and not use the default Windows formatting utility.

I took a look at the Favorite List @J-Wrock sent and a couple of things I noticed.

First...is GPS enabled? I see Location Control is on for the Departments, and I don't know if that will cause problems since I don't use GPS much.

Second...I see J-Wrock has used Quick Keys (as I do) to isolate departments. KC Fire is under Quick Key 11 and the entire system under Quick Key 0. Depending on if you assigned a Quick Key to this Favorites List, it would go like this if you chose the Favorite List Quick Key as 1:

Favorite List QK-1/System QK-0/(City of KCMO) Department QK-11

(1.0.11 E/Yes) would turn it on or off , if it's already on.. It's possible that the Department Quick Key is Off?

In addition to that, the Sites also have Quick Keys assigned:

90 is Johnson Simulcast and 91 is Jackson Simulcaast. It's possible the one you want to use for Fire is off.

(1.0.90 E/Yes) and/or 1.0.91 (E/Yes).

Let me add an edit to this. If you didn't assign the Favorite List a Quick Key, Decimal First:

(.0.11 E/Yes) Decimal-Zero-E/Yes.

I'm going to be embarrassed if it is the SD card! That said, I hope it's the SD card because that would be a simple fix!

Yes, my file had location data for the departments, but unless he has "Use Location: On" in the settings, it shouldn't cause an issue. I uploaded my file originally because there had been thoughts that he had too many sites and I wanted to show what sites applied to the Kansas City metro. Still, I should've deleted the GPS coordinates and quick keys.

HOWEVER, I was on the understanding that he went back to his own file which does not have GPS coordinates or quick keys and still doesn't work on his radio but it works on mine. Corrupt SD card would explain quite a bit!

This is unbelievable. After jacking with this for days and days, it is now 12:30am Sunday and I was about to turn it off and give up for the day and I thought, just for SH*** and grins I will change the antenna to the one that comes with it, the telescoping antenna. Now I get everything, including KCFD. WTF. My scanner doesn't like an outdoor antenna? And even if the cable is bad, it would act as an antenna of some kind. Makes no sense. Every dang department is coming in. Well, I feel like an idiot!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a bad antenna connection, somehow - Perhaps somewhere in the line, there's a short that connects the ground and aerial lines so the antenna length is useless for reception?

Well, now we know! Go enjoy your scanner, now, while you can!
